“The only other veteran player of note on the league-issued list of players released Thursday, sources said, is Miami center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who had already announced his intention to retire after one season with the Heat. Other players with NBA experience waived Thursday as teams pare down their rosters in advance of Sunday’s start to the 2011-12 season include Boston’s Michael Sweetney, Cleveland’s Manny Harris and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Gerald Green.”
